I'm excited to get to know everyone this year in World Cultures. My name is Mrs. Ramseyer and I am starting my 7th year of teaching, and my 4th year here at Wichita Collegiate. I grew up in Hutchinson and graduated from Hutch High in 2004 (go Salthawks!). I love my hometown and am back often to visit family. I went on to attend the University of Kansas, where I graduated with my Bachelors in Secondary Social Studies Education in 2007. I moved to Kansas City where I got my first teaching job at Park Hill South High School. While there I completed my Masters of Curriculum and Instruction, also from the University of Kansas. I am a die-hard KU fan (basketball AND football...no fair weather fan here!) and will often talk of my love for my Jayhawks (or my complete disdain for all things Mizzou).
My husband, Rob, and I were married in 2009 after dating for 5 years. He is actually a WCS graduate, so I had been hearing of how wonderful WCS was for years before I was hired here. Rob is currently the head baseball coach and Dean of Students at Hesston College. We have a sweet little girl, Jane, who just turned one this August. She made me realize that all parenting cliches are so true and is definitely my favorite person in this world!
I look forward to getting to know all of you better as the year goes on!
